Participants had a ball at a unique soccer game at Kovan Sports Centre yesterday. Organised by the Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, each of the 20 teams that took part in the Harmony Ball in the Dark event had to have members from at least three different races. Teams were given glow-in-the-dark accessories, highlighting how "Singapore's racial and religious harmony will glow even brighter in the face of dark, senseless terror attacks", organisers said. Yesterday's event kicked off the 14th edition of the Inter Racial Inter Religious Harmony Nite campaign. The theme this year is Diversity Makes Us One: A Celebration of Togetherness, and activities will be held this month and next.
