Crowds eager to get their hands on new notes started queuing at bank branches early this morning. At OCBC Bank's and United Overseas Bank's Ang Mo Kio branches, there were around 50 people each waiting to get their supply of notes for Chinese New Year.

This year, as part of an environmental initiative, "good-as-new" $2 notes will also be issued in addition to new $2 notes. Although many are still choosing the new notes, others want to check out the differences between the two sets of notes before making a decision.
