Public 'strongly advised' not to join Parliament House queue as crowds swell Friday; visit community sites instead

SINGAPORE - Members of the public are strongly advised not to join the queue at Parliament House to pay their last respects to Mr Lee Kuan Yew, said an updated statement at 8am, Friday, March 27.

They are urged to wait for further updates.

As at 5am on Friday, the wait was about eight hours.

The wait was reduced slightly to seven hours at 7am but rose again to eight hours at 8am on Friday.

It went up further to 10 hours at 10am.

People have been encouraged to visit community sites at 18 different locations islandwide.
