President extends Judicial Commissioner George Wei's appointment

SINGAPORE - President Tony Tan Keng Yam has extended Judicial Commissioner George Wei Sze Shun's appointment as a Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court for one year.

JC George Wei was appointed as a Supreme Court Judicial Commissioner in August 2013. The one-year extension starts this month.

He is an expert in intellectual property law in Singapore and was previously Professor of Law at the Singapore Management University. He had obtained his law diploma from the University of London and his masters in law from the University of College London.

With his appointment, the Supreme Court will have14 judges, including the Chief Justice and four Judicial Commissioners.
