Mike Pompeo says US committed to 'denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula'

SINGAPORE (REUTERS) - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday (June 11) said the United States remains "committed to the complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula".

He was tweeting ahead of a June 12 Singapore summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore.

His post on @SecPompeo also showed a photo of him meeting his State Department team on Monday morning.
