White Paper promises to boost equality, but much depends on society too

SINGAPORE - Fairness and equality took centre stage in Parliament last week, when lawmakers unanimously endorsed a 10-year road map to equality for Singapore women last Tuesday.

During the debate on the White Paper on Singapore Women's Development, which stretched for nearly 10 hours, MPs spoke about flexible work, better support for parents and caregivers and changing mindsets.
