SINGAPORE - Joblessness in Singapore is less acute than in some other advanced economies. But unemployment rates here are still elevated, and some Singaporeans are stuck in short-term or transitional positions.

During the debate on the Ministry of Manpower's (MOM) budget on Wednesday (March 3), various MPs called for stronger moves to stem unemployment and strengthen the Singaporean core.
