Police smash car window in Hougang, unconscious driver arrested for drink driving In the Heartland.

SINGAPORE - Police officers smashed the window of a car parked at a Housing Board block in Hougang on Thursday (May 25) night and arrested the man inside for drink driving.

In a video sent to citizen journalism site Stomp, police officers are shown smashing the window of the passenger door as a loud continuous honking is heard.

The Straits Times understands that a police report had been made due to the loud honking.

Stomp reported on Friday that the man was unconscious and had his head on the wheel. A Stomp contributor who gave his name as Subash said the man's car blocked the road, stopping cars from passing through.

The police told ST that they received a call for assistance at Block 965, Hougang Avenue 9, at 11.17pm on Thursday.

"A 52-year-old male car driver was subsequently arrested for drink driving," said the spokesman.

Police investigations are ongoing.
