Rescuers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) have set up a Life Pack - a large air cushion designed to break the fall of a person when he lands - at the foot of an HDB block in Chai Chee. The Straits Times understands that police operations have been underway at a flat on the sixth floor since 10.30am on Friday, Aug 23, 2013, to disarm an occupant who is said to be holding a chopper. -- ST PHOTO: BRYNA SINGH

The Straits Times understands that police operations have been underway at a flat on the sixth floor since 10.30am Friday, to disarm an occupant who is said to be holding a chopper.
