The man, over a week in September, allegedly terrorised senior citizens in the Bishan, Kim Keat and Boon Keng area by snatching their handbags and robbing his victims of over $600. Two of his victims suffered fractures on their shoulder and hand.
Police said the man was apprehended by a taskforce comprising officers from the various branches of Tanglin Police Division.
For the offence of robbery with hurt, he faces a jail term of between five and 20 years and not less than 12 strokes of the cane. For snatch theft, he can be imprisoned for up to seven years and caned.
