Police arrest 22-year-old man for Woodlands brawl which left three injured

The police have arrested a 22-year old man who is believed to be involved in a brawl which left three people injured.

Last Friday night, the police received a call from a member of the public, who said that there were three people injured in a fight which broke out in a back alley near Woodlands Point. The brawl allegedly stemmed from a dispute the three people had with two men.

Police officers arrived to find three semi-conscious people lying in the alley. All three were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, with one of them suffering from serious injuries.

On Tuesday night, the 22-year-old suspect was arrested near the incident location. Efforts are underway to track down his accomplice.

Anyone found guilty of the offence of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt can be jailed up to seven years, and fined, or caned.
