SINGAPORE - PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife will be in Johor on Saturday for the wedding celebration of the Malaysian state's crown prince.
Mr and Mrs Lee will attend the royal couple's wedding ceremony, followed by the royal banquet.
Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, 30, married Che' Puan Khaleeda Bustamam, 21, in a private ceremony two weeks ago.
He is the eldest of six children of Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar.
The Prime Minister and Mrs Lee were invited by the Sultan and his wife Raja Zarith Sofiah.
"PM Lee's visit reflects the close friendship and warm ties between Singapore and Johor," said a statement from the Prime Minister's Office on Friday.
The wedding gala, which will be held at Johor's Istana Besar, is expected to draw about 1,200 guests, including Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Brunei's Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
