Plans for premium seating membership scheme at new National Stadium

The newly-revamped National Stadium will adopt a premium seating membership scheme that aims to deliver a "bespoke" experience. This was revealed by Mr Adrian Staiti, World Sport Group's senior vice-president of global partnerships and stadiums and arenas, at a media preview of the Singapore Sports Hub on Wednesday. The National Stadium is part of the Hub, which will be launched in April 2014.

Membership for premium seats at the National Stadium will cost "a couple of thousand dollars" per year. There will be 1,600 premium licenses and about 500 platinum licenses up for grabs.

Membership holders, among other things, will be able to secure tickets to National Stadium events earlier, and gain access to an exclusive lounge, reserved parking and entrance via an exclusive lobby.

Separately, Mr Staiti also said that 62 corporate suites - of between eight and 30-seaters - have been snapped up. Mr Staiti declined to name the buyers.
