To celebrate Christmas and the December school holidays, some 50 families experienced a two-day, one-night camp on Saturday at the People's Association Holiday Campsite in Pasir Ris.

Jointly organised by Family Life Champions from Pasir Ris West, Sengkang Central, Punggol Coast, Punggol North and Punggol East divisions, the inaugural family camp aims to promote intergenerational bonding and to encourage families to spend quality time together.

Activities included tent decorating and rocket making as well as a campfire with songs.

Mr Colin Teh, who attended the camp with his wife and five-year-old twin daughters, said: "This is a very interesting way to celebrate Christmas, with a campfire. I attended campfires when I was young and I'm happy to relive this with my children."
