Dr Jorge Cham has a PhD in robotics from Stanford University, but now makes a living from something less stereotypically "sciencey" - drawing comics.

The 41-year-old has drawn Piled Higher And Deeper, otherwise known as PHD Comics, since 1997.

He will give a class in science communications at the Singapore Management University tomorrow.

The event is called Asian Scientist x PHD Comics: Where Art & Science Collide!

It is organised by Asian Scientist Magazine, and will cover topics like why art and science need each other.

Tickets cost $38 and can be purchased at http://peatix.com/event/266027
