Passers-by help direct traffic after collision between car and motorcycle in Marina Bay

SINGAPORE - Passers-by helped to direct traffic after a car and motorcycle collided at a junction in Marina Bay on Monday afternoon (Jan 22).

A photo published in Shin Min Daily News on Tuesday shows passers-by helping to wave on traffic after an accident that occurred at the junction of Sheares Avenue and Marina Boulevard.

The accident occurred at around 5pm, the police told The Straits Times.

The male motorcyclist and his female pillion rider, both aged 25, were taken conscious to Singapore General Hospital with abrasions.

ST understands that the car was travelling straight and the motorcycle hit the front left portion of the car.

A woman believed to be the driver of the car was spotted on the scene shielding the injured pair with an umbrella, Shin Min reported.

Police investigations are ongoing.
