Wringing hands over giving tween a phone

My daughter will be entering secondary school next year and is likely to need a phone, but I'm reluctant to give her one

With the Primary School Leaving Examination done and dusted for my 12-year-old daughter, I am now wondering when I should give her a mobile phone.

To say I am reluctant would be an understatement.
