As a former journalist, I am ashamed to admit I have not effectively guided my three teens as to how and where to read the news.
With minimal interference from me, they have evolved naturally to getting their news from social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, which they mindlessly scroll through hour after hour on their mobile phones.
