A vehicle at a West Coast carpark was crushed after a lorry crane apparently dropped a pallet filled with cement bags on it.

The incident happened at about 10am on Tuesday at the carpark near Block 727, Clementi West Street 2.

In a video posted on Facebook, dozens of bags of cement are seen on the broken pallet atop the silver Toyota. The roof at the back of the car is smashed in, while there are compression folds on the bodywork at the back of the car. There appeared to be no one in the car when the accident happened.

An eyewitness told Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao that he counted 40 bags of cement, which would add up to more than 1,000kg.

He said the bags were cleared around 2pm, after which the car was towed away.
