Three people were arrested and over $155,000 worth of drugs and nearly $60,000 in cash seized in a Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) operation on Thursday.

The haul comprised about 737g of 'Ice' - enough to sustain 422 addicts for a week - 65g of cannabis, 120g of Ketamine, 617 'Erimin-5' tablets and more than 600 'Ecstacy' tablets. The amount of Ice seized is the largest haul of the drug by CNB this year.

At around 12.40pm on Thursday, CNB officers launched an operation targetting a known drug trafficker. Officers raided a condominium unit in eastern Singapore where two suspects - a 31-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman - were arrested. The suspected drug abusers, both Vietnamese, are believed to be involved with the drug trafficker.

A search of the unit turned up a small amount of assorted drugs, along with drug-related paraphernalia.

The same evening, CNB officers arrested the drug trafficker - a 39-year-old Singaporean man - at the same condominium. Various drugs and drug-related paraphernalia were found in his hideout at a different unit.

Investigations are ongoing.
