SINGAPORE - The annual Christmas light up on Orchard Road will be launched this Saturday (Nov 14), and will stay up till Jan 3.
This year's creative concept - that revolves around bells and baubles - is produced by local artiste Dick Lee and designer Yang De Rong.
The Orchard Road Business Association (Orba), which organised the light-up, will also launch a new mobile application OneOrchard. The app features an e-commerce store that allows shoppers to download shopping vouchers.
There will also be performances nightly from 7-10pm from Dec 18 to 23 in front of ION Orchard and Wisma Atria. Carollers and musicians from various schools will also perform at Paragon and Orchardgateway.
There will also be a best dressed building contest and starting from Nov 14, those who charge a minimum of $300 to a MasterCard card at participating Orchard Road malls will receive a $30 shopping voucher.
There will also be special performances for December's edition of Pedestrian Night on Orchard Road. The street will be filled with Christmas performances and will also have a Santa Claus to usher in the festivities.
