A bicultural installation, inspired by the ongoing Mid-Autumn Festival and the upcoming Deepavali, was officially completed at Gardens by the Bay yesterday. Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister for Defence Ong Ye Kung put the finishing touches by completing a pattern on one of the reflective, hanging acrylic discs. Located in the Silver Garden, Illuminations of Joy was handcrafted by beneficiaries from 30 social service organisations and was developed by rangoli artist Vijaya Mohan in collaboration with eco-designer Didier Ng.
