SINGAPORE - Supermarket chain NTUC FairPrice launched an online supermarket shopping service on Wednesday, which allows shoppers to buy their items online and collect them at a store.

Customers who use the Click & Collect service available on NTUC FairPrice's website can collect their purchase at a designated booth rather than queuing to pay, or having someone wait at home for deliveries.

Orders need to be made 24 hours in advance and collected from 6pm onwards.

The service was piloted at two FairPrice Xpress stores at Esso Service Stations in August and has since expanded to include five additional FairPrice and FairPrice Finest Stores. The aim is to expand it to 20 stores by the third quarter of next year, and double the range of online products to 10,000.

The supermarket has also revamped its online shopping portal with enhanced browsing functions. This includes being able to filter for products with specific attributes, such as those which are Halal-certified or trans-fat free.
