SINGAPORE - Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli met with a North Korean Vice-Minister on Tuesday to discuss bilateral cooperation between Singapore and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Ri Gil Song is on a regional visit to several South-east Asian countries and is in Singapore from Feb 9 to 12.
He paid a courtesy call on Mr Masagos at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), and they exchanged views on regional and international developments, including the importance of lowering tensions and maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
Vice-Foreign Minister Ri will also be meeting with other senior officials from the MFA.
