There were no casualties at the Yishun worksite where a set of scaffolding collapsed on Saturday night, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

The police said they were alerted to the incident at the construction site along Yishun Industrial Street 1 at about 8.10pm.

SCDF and police officers were still on site conducting checks at about 10pm.

The Straits Times understands that the case is likely to be classified as an industrial accident and referred to the Ministry of Manpower for further investigations.
