New transitional shelters provide more housing for rough sleepers

Transitional shelters, funded by the Government, provide a longer-term stay than Safe Sound Sleeping Places and house the homeless in, for example, Housing Board rental flats.

When Mr Wong, 48, lost his cleaning job after Covid-19 hit Singapore last year, he also lost the roof over his head.
The bachelor, who is estranged from his family, had been sleeping on a makeshift bed at the coffee shop he cleaned.
