More volunteer performers and new foreign groups are set to take the stage at this year's Chingay parade. Volunteer performers have reached a count of 10,000, more than last year's 8,000.

Foreign groups performing include the Hankook Traditional Dance Group from South Korea, Galactic Stilt Walkers from France and dancers from the Philippines.

The Centipede Dance Troupe as well as the China Red Star Dance Troupe, which took part in last year's Chingay Parade are also in the lineup for this year.

The parade will be held on Feb 22 and 23, at the F1 pit building near the Singapore Flyer with the theme, "Fire in Snow". Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will also be making a special appearance in the finale performance at Friday's Chingay Parade.
