New SingTel mobile plan lets users change data, voice, SMS bundles on demand

SINGAPORE - SingTel is now allowing its mobile customers to adjust their voice call, SMS and data bundles every month to suit their changing needs.

Dubbed Easy Mobile, the new subscription plan lets subscribers switch their data, voice and SMS bundles within four tariff plans, namely small, medium, large and extra large. The basic small plan, at $33 a month, comes with four units of combined voice, SMS and data, whereas the medium plan at $45 a month comes with 10 units.

One unit is equivalent to either 50 minutes of outgoing local calls, 500 SMS/MMS or 0.5GB of local data usage. Users have the flexibility to allocate more units to data or voice or SMS depending on his monthly usage. SingTel said this is the first monthly subscription plan in Asia that allows users to adjust "on the fly".

Easy Mobile is available to new customers only for a start. It will be rolled out to existing customers renewing their contracts in the coming months.
