Three new bus services linking West Coast, Sembawang and Jurong East to the Central Business District (CBD) will begin operations this month, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Monday.

The West Coast City Direct Service Bus 655 and the Sembawang City Direct Service Bus 656 will start on Feb 17. The Jurong East City Direct Service Bus 657 will begin on Feb 24.

These bus services will start with two one-way trips to the CBD on weekday mornings and two one-way return trips in the evenings, excluding public holidays. More trips may be added depending on the demand for the services, LTA said. With buses plying the expressways and fewer stops, journey times for these services will be comparable to that of taking a feeder bus and transferring to the MRT into the city, the agency added.
