Voluntary welfare organisation Ain Society has launched a new passenger bus to ferry its beneficiaries who have difficulty getting around to their medical appointments and programmes at its centre.

The organisation, which works with troubled youth and dysfunctional families, also unveiled a new logo to reflect its changed focus. It used to serve mainly the Malay-Muslim community, but the 13-year-old outfit hopes to reach out to the rest of the community in future.

The new logo and bus were launched on Saturday by Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob.

The society runs programmes that equip at-risk youth with social and vocational skills so that they are able to remain in school or get a job if they drop out of school. It also facilitates financial literacy programmes and aid for needy families and organises carnivals and performances for young people to showcase their talents.
