Needy residents in the Nee Soon area received festive gifts on Sunday to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Each of the 50 families received a $150 cash red packet, and $60 worth of food necessities.
The gifts were sponsored by a group of philanthropists, and distributed by Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Transport Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, who is also the MP for Nee Soon GRC.
"It soothes my heart to see residents of the Nee Soon Central coming together to help their fellow residents celebrate the joy of the Lunar New Year," said Dr Faishal. "With efforts like this, we will bring the community together as we progress as a society."
