NDP tickets, funpacks up for grabs in ST contests

Eager for a glimpse of the Red Lions skydivers or a close-up look at Singapore's land, air and sea defence elements during this year's National Day Parade (NDP)?

The Straits Times is offering readers chances to win preview and actual day tickets to this year's NDP, which will return to The Float @ Marina Bay after two years.

ST is organising a total of three contests, with tickets and funpacks up for grabs, in the lead-up to the NDP on Aug 9.

The first of the three contests is called #guesswithST. It starts today and there will be seven rounds.

Readers who wish to take part in the contest will have to guess uniquely Singaporean landmarks based on photographs taken by ST's photojournalists, who have scoured the island to snap their favourite landmarks from obscure angles.

Contestants will also have to explain in no more than 52 words what the place means to them or to Singapore.

Submissions for each photograph will be open for two days and must be done online at str.sg/guesswithST.

Winners for this competition will receive a pair of tickets to the previews on either July 22 or July 29.

Up to four pairs of NDP tickets may be won each round, and winners will be contacted via e-mail or telephone by July 18.

Tickets for the NDP previews held on July 22 and 29 must be collected from the SPH News Centre in Toa Payoh between July 19 and July 21 from 9am to 6pm.

Details for the other two contests will be announced at a later date.
