Natas re-elects Devinder Ohri as president

SINGAPORE- The National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (Natas) has re-elected Mr Devinder Ohri as president.

It will be his second two-year term in office. In a statement on Monday(May 23), Natas said that he fielded a "new and younger" team. Six of the 10 office-bearers elected are new faces in the Natas Executive Committee. The election was held on Thursday (May 19).

Said Mr Ohri, 57, director of travel company G C Nanda & Sons : "I am most heartened and encouraged with the results because our Executive Committee's talent acquisition and renewal process is now well underway with significant key positions being filled by what I call the future faces of Natas."

He added that his team's victory in four contested positions is "clear indication and re-affirmation that the majority of our general membership is supportive of our performance and changes being made".

The deputy president is Mr Steven Ler, executive director of UOB Travel Planners, while the Secretary-General is Mr Albert Hong, Head, Corporate Travel Services, Changi Travel Services.
