Mums and dads now have more help with a new parenting guide introduced by the Ministry of Social and Family Development.
The "Essential Parenting Resource Kit" is a set of booklets with content tailored according to parenting at various stages of their children's growth, from toddlers to teenagers.
The kit was launched at Saturday morning's Singapore Parenting Congress 2013, which was attended by more than 2,000 people.
Held at The Star Vista mall in Buona Vista, the theme of this year's event is focused on how parents can communicate effectively and manage conflict with their teens.
Speaking at the annual event as guest of honour, Acting Minister for Social and Family Development, Mr Chan Chun Sing said: "As the pace of life quickens, parents today face a very different set of challenges complicated by technology in raising their kids.
"Parenting is a lifelong journey. Us parents, it's like we have a permanent P-plate attached to us, and we're always learning to be better for our kids."
