Multiple steps being taken to tackle scourge of plastic waste

Singapore has a plastic problem. Each household uses an average of 13 plastic bags a day, and Singaporeans are recycling less of the material.

Last year, only 51,800 tonnes of plastic were recycled, down from 57,554 tonnes in 2016.
