MSF to conduct thorough probe into alleged childcare abuse case: Chan Chun Sing

An alleged case of abuse at a childcare centre will be investigated thoroughly, Acting Minister for Social and Family Development Chan Chun Sing said on Sunday.

Mr Chan said the investigation will cover the induction and training of teachers, as well as the supervision and incident management at the NTUC My First Skool childcare centre at Toa Payoh.

In a two-minute video of the incident which occurred last Friday, a woman believed to be a teacher was seen dragging a three-year-old boy with force across the floor and pushing him onto the ground, causing him to fracture his shin.

Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to a community event at youth hangout *Scape, Mr Chan said: "There are rules in place, there are frameworks in place for the conduct of any activities and lessons, and we expect these rules and frameworks to be followed."
