MP Sun Xueling gives birth to girl

SINGAPORE - Member of Parliament Sun Xueling gave birth to a daughter on Wednesday (Nov 16).

She posted a photo of her newborn, Sophie, on Facebook on Thursday afternoon.

"Welcomed Baby Sophie to the family yesterday ;) Warm gratitude to the doctors and nurses who tended to me and great thanks to residents, friends and volunteers who have wished me well and supported me through this journey," the 37-year-old wrote.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Chan Chun Sing posted his well wishes to Ms Sun online.

"Congrats Xueling for the arrival of baby Sophie. Wishing your family joy in raising two beautiful children," he said.

Ms Sun, who is MP for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, also has a three year old daughter, Sera.

The CEO of non-profit organisation Business China is married to an IT entrepreneur.
