Safra members can now purchase cheaper movie tickets and popcorn combos at the seven Shaw cinemas islandwide under a new tie-up between Shaw and Safra.
The three-year partnership, which starts on Oct 16, was launched by Second Minister for Defence and Safra president, Mr Chan Chun Sing, on Thursday. Safra has more than 500,000 members.
It comes after Safra's movie partnership with Golden Village, which had been in place since 1995, ceased on Sept 30.
Safra said the new partnership "offers a wider suite of movie privileges with new deals on opening titles, sneaks and 3D movies". For example, members can purchase a pair of movie tickets at half price on weekends. This offer, which is limited to the first 1,000 pair of tickets per day, was not offered under the previous tie-up with Golden Village.
Mr Chan said there was more room for the community to affirm and recognise the role of NSmen in society. He also called for more partners like Shaw to come forward and offer "a greater menu of recreational options" for them.
