SINGAPORE - Some 1,100 positions were on offer at a job fair for the transport and logistics industry on Wednesday.

A total of 18 companies covering the aviation, maritime and land sectors - including SBS Transit, Keppel Offshore & Marine and DHL Supply Chain (Singapore) - were represented at the fair at Bishan Community Club.

Organiser the Chinese Development Assistance Council said 450 visitors attended the event, which also featured career talks and registration for skills workshops.

By the end of the day, six people had been employed on the spot, while 121 were shortlisted for a second interview.
