SINGAPORE - Singaporeans who would like more SG50 commemorative notes can now get them, after the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) lifted the quota of five sets of notes per transaction per individual .

This was in response to feedback that some people are keen on having the notes to give away as gifts during the upcoming festive season.

In addition, Singaporeans who exchange their regular notes for SG50 notes may request extra folders to keep them in.

The collection period for the two complimentary SG50 notes folders for each Singaporean household will be extended to the end of the year. The extended period will also apply to those who want to exchange their original folders which have a typographical error for new ones.

However, the collection and exchange will be available only at 16 designated Community Centres/Clubs (CCs) from Monday. The public can still collect and exchange the folders at the 108 CCs from now till Sunday. The collection time at the CCs remains between 2pm and 9.30 pm daily.

Singaporeans who had earlier exchanged more SG50 notes than the two folders could hold, can collect extra folders at the CCs. They need only to present their identification cards for the additional folders.
