More expensive gas for half of Singapore's households for three months from May 1

Households using City Gas will pay more for their gas from May 1.

City Gas, which pipes town gas to half the homes in Singapore, said on Tuesday that gas prices will be increased by 1.05 per cent from May 1 to July 31.

This follows the drop in prices in the last three quarters.

City Gas, which reviews its gas tariffs every three months based on guidelines set by gas industry regulator Energy Market Authority, said that the increase is due to higher fuel prices.
