SINGAPORE - A total of 40,000 miniature mooncakes in a 4.3m-high display helped Teck Ghee division set a new record in the Singapore Book of Records on Saturday (Sept 30), for the largest number of mooncakes displayed.

The feat was accomplished by grassroots volunteers and residents at Teck Ghee Lantern Night 2017, which was attended by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who is the MP for the ward.

The mooncakes, which were sponsored by the Automobile Association of Singapore, will be distributed to residents in Ang Mo Kio GRC and Sengkang West SMC as well as homes, shelters, schools and other community organisations after the event.
