Ministry of Manpower to conduct labour force survey across 33,000 households

The Ministry of Manpower will conduct the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey from May 23 to July 31.

The survey will collect data on employment, unemployment and other economic characteristics of the population that will help plan and formulate manpower-related policies and programmes.

Some 33,000 households will be involved. Households selected for the survey will be contacted by the ministry by post. The Manpower Survey Online System allows participants with internet access to complete the survey online. For those who prefer not to use the online option, they can provide the ministry with their contact details and arrange for telephone interviews via the Survey Hotline at 6317 1009 from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Interviewers will conduct personal visits if the households are not contactable by phone. They will display the identification card issued by the ministry. Respondents can verify their identity by calling the ministry's contact centre at 6438 5122.
