SINGAPORE - Microsoft Singapore has made a contribution of $532,000 in support of the President's Challenge. A cheque was accepted by President Tony Tan at Microsoft Singapore's We Tech Care Open House on Saturday.

The open house, held at the Microsoft Singapore office at One Marina Boulevard, aims to equip the public with practical IT skills through workshops and interactive games. It was attended by over 600 members of the public.

"This year's event is targeted at seeding practical IT skills which can be developed and harnessed for the good of the community at large," said Microsoft Singapore's managing director Jessica Tan. "We hope to see technology play a major role in empowering people to make a real impact for a better Singapore."
