The Merlion statues at the Merlion Park will be undergoing maintenance this Thursday, Friday and next Monday, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said.

While maintenance works are in progress, photo-taking opportunities for the main Merlion statue will not be affected as it will not be hoarded up, the STB said in a press statement on Tuesday.

But the Merlion cub statue will be barricaded and unavailable for photo-taking.

The water spouts of both the statues will be switched off during maintenance.
