The two Merlion statues in the Merlion Park at One Fullerton will undergo regular cleaning and maintenance from March 15 to April 7.

The main Merlion statue will be hoarded up and be unavailable for photo-taking, the Singapore Tourism Board said in a statement on Monday.

The Merlion cub will also be barricaded and only be available for photo-taking after March 29.

"We seek the public's understanding as the works and barricades may cause some inconvenience during this period," the statement added.
