Meet the people: From crimebuster to lighthouse keeper

He has a dining room with a 180-degree sea view, and a private beach lined with coconut trees just steps away. Meet Mr Syed Hassan, 65, the oldest lighthouse keeper who calls Raffles Lighthouse on Pulau Satumu his second home.

He was at the scene when the Little India riot broke out, and has helped to nab the two suspects involved in the kidnap of the Sheng Siong supermarket chief's mother. Meet Mr Roy Lim, 42, Assistant Superintendent of the Special Investigation Section.
