Integrated resort Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is holding a charity festival to raise funds for non-profit organisations.

The three-day event from Aug 16 to 18 aims to raise at least $3 million for six beneficiaries. The beneficiaries are National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre, Singapore Association for the Deaf, Community Chest, Make-A-Wish Foundation, local performing arts academy O School, and an arts education charity Art Outreach.

These six beneficiaries will be partnering MBS to hold events or performances during the festival in a bid to raise funds. For example, the Singapore Association for the Deaf will be holding its first ever charity gala dinner at MBS.

MBS chief executive officer George Tanasijevich said at a press conference on Monday: "We want to champion the spirit of giving and we hope to inspire others to come forward to do their part to help those in need."
