SINGAPORE - Environment and Water Resources Minister Masagos Zulkifli will be in Malaysia from Dec 16 to 17 for an annual meeting with his counterpart, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
This 29th Malaysia-Singapore Annual Exchange of Visits will be held in Putrajaya, the administrative centre of the Malaysian government.
Singapore's Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MEWR) said the two Ministers and their officials will "exchange views on environmental issues of mutual interest".
They will also review the progress of collaborations in such areas as the control of vehicular emissions, maintaining water quality in the Straits of Johor, emergency response exercises for chemical spills, and the conduct of environmental training programmes.
"Active information exchange and collaboration between the two Ministries would assist Singapore and Malaysia in addressing common challenges in promoting environmental sustainability," MEWR said in its statement.
