SINGAPORE - Marsiling residents young and old got to try their hands at decorating gingerbread cookies at a family carnival organised on Sunday afternoon.

In keeping with the festive theme, the Marsiling Family Fiesta also featured a demonstration of how to make eggless Christmas fruitcake.

Hampers and supermarket vouchers were also up for grabs as prizes in a cooking competition to make the best chicken dish.

Around 200 people were at the event, which was organised by the Marsiling Community Club's Women's Executive Committee.

Among them was Sembawang GRC MP Hawazi Daipi, who is also Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Manpower and Education.
